I don't want to jinx it, but I think spring has finally arrived in Boston, folks. Yippee! Sunday was a perfect sunny, 60 degree day, and B & I spent it wandering around Brookline's Coolidge Corner.

We first stopped in Brookline Booksmith, one of our favorite bookstores. It has an amazing selection of both new & used books, as well as quirky cards & gifts. On this visit, I bought some fun Boston-themed postcards to send to friends & fam.

We ate late lunch / early dinner at Coolidge Corner Clubhouse. It was our first time there, and I was pleasantly surprised by its rather large selection of vegetarian food.

Yes, there's a sandwich hidden under that heap of fries somewhere. I ordered the spicy grilled cheese, which was filled with pepperjack, caramelized onions, and jalapenos. Yum!

His & hers beers: Heineken & Shipyard Applehead, respectively.

After lunch, we bought cinnamon twist pastries for dessert from our favorite bakery, Kupel's.
Looks like the perfect day!
ReplyDeleteI think Spring has finally hit here too! I sort of wish I had a cute hat like yours to welcome the seasonal change with...

ReplyDeleteAlso, I really wish that I lived near you, because you two always find the BEST places to eat! Seriously, you're always talking about how you found some cool new place and how it's great for vegetarians (like me). If I lived closer to you, I would always be stealing your restaurant ideas!
